Even though I spoke these words last week, they are as true today as ever.

Where are you playing small?

Where do you lose your value?

When do you dim your light?

It’s time. For us to INHALE the inspiration we are constantly receiving, and EXHALE our creative spin on it. Our voices, art, written words, and dance are needed now.

We are all stepping up. Stepping IN. Stepping forward. Marching together towards change.

Conscious leadership is required of us all. And that means showing up. SHINING brightly. No apologies. No more hiding.

Ready? Let’s do this.

Join me for a free training next week to kick off Self-Love Month. Details can be found on my website, Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn profiles.

Leadership Magic – my Theme for 2018

It’s a topsy-turvy, sometimes High, sometimes low world right now, right?

The optimism and clarity I felt on New Year’s Day and even the 2nd were exhilarating and I was excited to return to “work” from my short sabbatical.

Yet, today, after waking early to an inspiration that I recorded before falling back to sleep, the rest of the day has taken me in circles. Back into spirals of grief, forward into the thrills of new meetings and opportunities on the horizon, then deep into self-critical stuff. Probably all before I finished my 2nd cup of coffee!

Well, I’m back into the swing again here, after honoring my feelings and listening to intuition…and ready to get into it!

So, what is Leadership Magic?

It’s the inner glow you have when you are:

  • Self-Empowered
  • Self-Authoring
  • Self-Loving
  • Self-Valuing
  • Self-Responsible and
  • Self-Aware

We’ll be playing with these areas and defining the concepts as we move throughout the first quarter of 2018.

SHINE is still my signature though, as it’s the foundation for true Leadership Magic.

I’m just playing deeper with the concepts of the intrinsic light that we have and so often dim or turn off due to fear, failure, or to “fit in”.

So, let’s get started, shall we?

Leadership Magic begins with Power. And to turn on your Power, it’s essential to have a Vision. To be Open to Possibilities. To TRUST. And to be Present, showing up with a radiant Presence.

Lots of emphases here as we can’t get where we want to go without these basics.

So, here’s my take on each of them. Enjoy!

Dialogue vs Debate

Authentic Communications

It’s the holiday season (perhaps you’ve noticed?) with lots of events on the calendar providing us with lots of opportunities to be with “other-minded” people. Whether family, neighbors, co-workers or even circles of friends, we are more and more learning the contentiousness that conversations can become. How can we view these opportunities as a place to SHINE?

Speaking our truth amongst like-minded folks is great for validation and massaging of our ego.

Speaking our truth amid “others” can be scary. Isolating. Possibly life-threatening (or so it feels!)

Is the alternative not engaging? Walking away and not saying anything? Unfriending on social media? Getting another drink or hitting the buffet table to “deal with it” by numbing or stuffing it?

Or, possibly, responding and engaging.

Asking for clarification.

Learning where someone else stands and why they feel that way. Asking if they ever wondered if _____________ was possible? Or thought about it this way (state another view here)?

Each time I leave a racial awareness, social justice, diversity type of training or workshop I learn new techniques to continue the dialogue. Share more authentically. Listen more deeply. Broaden my views and add to my confidence.

It doesn’t mean it’s not scary. I still over-think and wonder if that post on LinkedIn has put me in a box with potential clients or friends. No one responded or engaged with me. Crickets.

Yet it was my truth. It’s my way of showing up. Sharing me and who I am in the marketplace. And, I believe it will attract the ideal clients who want to work with someone with my values as well as my experience and expertise.

Some additional ideas for Dialogue?

After exploring and agreeing that there are differences in views or beliefs, ask if there is interest in finding common ground as well.

Remember to model being a bridge-builder, one who is calmly (even if passionately) wanting to learn from the other, create a relationship and keep the door open to further dialogue.

This is a way to collaborate, come together and explore solutions and not be the “owner” of the truth. There are many paths to it. How can we walk together and find new solutions, together?

Nothing risked, nothing gained. Join me in not being a silent partner in systemic racism, sexism, classism, and all the other barriers to humanism.

Returning Home

And Turning on the Light

[spreaker type=player resource=”episode_id=13276312″ width=”100%” height=”200px” theme=”light” playlist=”false” playlist-continuous=”false” autoplay=”false” live-autoplay=”false” chapters-image=”true” hide-logo=”false” hide-likes=”false” hide-comments=”false” hide-sharing=”false” ]

What am I speaking on, ranting on, sharing about or wanting to shine with today? I’m ready to open my heart and share what can be the most useful, most valuable to those who are listening.

Do I start by blessing you? Or by blessing me? Blessing my wisdom, channel Source, inspired words and the messaging reaches the audience with just what they are ready to hear and allow?

Is it my gift to share in this way?

Or is video blogging better, where I”m speaking to you more directly?

Either way, I’m not sure. When I start second-guessing, the flow becomes constricted.

OK, so Grounding. Centering. Breathing mySelf back Home.

Today, I am speaking my truth. Sharing from my heart, soul, and inspiration.

Opening up to be the brightest Lightworker I can be. Or a Whitelighter.

If you ever watched the old TV show, Charmed, you would understand the Whitelighter role. It’s the guardian angel who helps heal, guide and support the ones doing good magic in the world. Whitelighters also protect and nurture them for their intended destiny.

You see, that’s where I like to play. In the support of each of you stepping more fully into your power. Into your roles of change agent. Into the next highest, brilliant source of Good you are here to share.

Today’s leaders need Whitelighters. We all do.

It’s a universal feeling, don’t you think? To bask in the security of being watched over, guided and loved with no conditions. Reminded of who we are as we get off track and forget and held during times of illness or trauma.

It’s time we recognize we are not here to do our great work ALONE. We are much stronger, powerful, magical, effective and brilliant when we come together in unity.

But first, we need to come home. Do our inner work. Tune in, turn on and turn up our Essence. From this place, we can SHINE. We can SHARE. We can co-create. We can serve. We can live, love, lead with Authenticity, Grace, and Power.

So today is about Coming Home. Returning to our own Selves. Regenerating, renewing, remembering the power of “I am.”

Then, help others. Then, allow support in. Only then, give. From here, receive. Allow, Be guided. Inspired. Co-create.

Then we can go on out and do our Great Work.

Letting Go Authentically

It’s harvest time for many but not for me. Autumn is my “spring cleaning” time.

Letting Go to Live More Fully is one of my mantras and I’m typically singing it as I welcome this time of year.

I’m finding myself tossing old items, giving away piles of clothing and linens, cleaning out toiletries, (how does that drawer get so cluttered?) and generally, cleaning house.

Culling from my freezer and pantry too. Getting off of mailing and email lists. Aligning my bank accounts. And, reviewing/assessing/releasing relationships. This one is the hardest.

This brings me to my topic for today. When we consciously make the decision to walk away from a person who has been a big part of our life, it’s a big deal. So is standing up and asking for things to change. And, additionally, being willing, AND READY, to leave if they don’t.

So, here is that time of year. Mastermind circles ending. My first Authentic Leadership Academy coming to a close, the realization that the romantic relationship I’m in is no longer where I’m flourishing and happy.

With all of this “letting go” comes a sense of clarity. Freedom. More space to BE. And, the fear of being “alone” is also present.

Many of my friends, clients and colleagues are coupled. If you are one, you may not understand what I’m going through, It’s been one hell of a decade since my divorce, and I thought I was done healing.

Maybe we are never done. Just like we are never complete.

Here’s to seeing where this takes me and how I’ll grow in the process!

Authentic Community

Stepping into a Higher Version

[spreaker type=player resource=”episode_id=12957031″ width=”100%” height=”200px” theme=”light” playlist=”false” playlist-continuous=”false” autoplay=”false” live-autoplay=”false” chapters-image=”true” hide-logo=”false” hide-likes=”false” hide-comments=”false” hide-sharing=”false” ]

Last week I attended The Leadership Circle™ Summit. It was way more than a training opportunity. Or a vacation. Or a conference with like-minded hearts, minds and souls.

Last week was my own Axial experience.

“Axial” in that it was a pivotal moment when I could see all of who I have been coming together for this particular group of people, with that specific location, and those unique speakers and leaders. I knew it was going to be life-changing…just wish I knew how much was going to shift for me and those around me.

We had speakers from NASA to Harvard, experts from Google and MIT, Tai Chi Masters and international journalists and beekeepers who all shared their authentic selves and messages.

I was literally in heaven!

Beautiful conscious deep conversations…moments of transformative learning … tears and laughter of intimate sharing.

So many memories!

Lots of new people that I was initially feeling disconnected or separate from have now become new friends, colleagues, connections, and potential partners.

Then the re-entry. A term many of us at the Summit used to describe our returning to our Real Life. It’s been a rough one, personally, professionally and on a spiritual level too.

At this time of continued heartbreak, chaos, low confidence or trust in our nation’s leadership and the mixed messages from our media, it’s time for us to find this Summit within. And, from that strength of inner knowing, groundedness in our Truth and Wisdom, share and act from Compassion and Love in our circles, families, and communities.

I felt my own wings and heart expand and grow last week…not just my mind.

There was a deep knowing that I am perfectly perched, ready to take off and soar with my message.

It’s time to take a stand. Rooted in our physical self and connected to our divine self. Guided by our Passion/Purpose and Pleasure.

My new mantra for the next 100 days is:

I am a powerful creatrix who easily receives outrageous prosperity creating beauty and excellence all around me, simply by being my authentic embodied self.

What is yours?
